Joaquin Villarino is a multidisciplinary artist who works as a painter, muralist, tattoo artist and director. Originally from Chile, began his artistic journey at San Diego State University (SDSU), where he graduated with a degree in Fine Arts. Eleven years ago, he moved to the United States, seeking new opportunities. After relocating to Los Angeles in 2020, Joaquin immersed himself in the city's vibrant art scene, working as a muralist and oil painter.During the pandemic, Joaquin explored new avenues and discovered a passion for tattoo artistry. This led to the founding of Alium Tattoo Studio in Culver City in July 2022, alongside his partner Maximiliano Novoa. Alium quickly gained recognition for its welcoming atmosphere and exceptional team, partnering with notable brands like Tinder and consistently receiving 5-star reviews.In addition to his work at the studio, Joaquin maintains a dedicated art space where he creates and prepares for exhibitions, including his upcoming show titled 'The Shedding.' His art reflects his deep commitment to creativity and his desire to transform traditional perceptions of art forms.
